Equipment

Innovative and diverse equipment is important for micro-meteorological measurements. Here are presented some of our "toys" :)

Micrometeorological Cart (MMCs)

Kestrel 5400 Heat Stress Trackers

We are very proud of our two MMCs - custom-made micro-meteorological carts that record data on air temperature, relative humidity, six-direction short- and long-wave solar radiation, globe temperature, wind speed and direction, and precipitation. Our MMC couple works very well together and measures parameters from different surfaces and surroundings. They are very attractive to our neighbors and citizens, so they often get photographed. Obtained through GreEnergy project.

Our Kestrel Heat Stress Trackers are our tiny little friends that are with us almost everywhere. Their compact size makes them perfect for microclimate measurements since they can be put in various locations. They record many meteorological parameters, such as air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, globe temperature, etc. At the moment, we have 10 Kestrels which makes it possible to do simultaneous measurements in various environments. Obtained through GreEnergy project.

NSUNET

Lcz based Uc network

Network of 27 stations in different local climate zones (LCZs) of the city of Novi Sad. Operational from 2014–2017. Measures air temperature and relative humidity, and the stations are attached to the lamp posts. Obtained through the Urban Path project.

Precipitation network

Network of 15 stations in different urban and flooding-prone areas of Novi Sad. Operational from 2019–2022. Measures air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, and precipitation. Part of the early warning system implemented through the project Urban Prex.
